How do I test my email to see if it is set up correctly?
To test your email try sending an email to yourself and see if you receive it. Then try sending one to a friend and ask them to send one back to you. Click the SEND/RECV button to check your mail if you don't want to wait for Outlook Express to check it at its regular interval. If you are experiencing a problem with your email program or something related to your email account with WebEssentials, try sending and receiving email using a web browser and WebMail (see below). If WebMail works, but Outlook Express does not, then it is likely a problem with your Outlook Express settings.

How do I set how often my email program checks my mail?
To change how often Outlook Express checks the email go to the Tools Menu and click on Options. There is a setting on the first screen for you to make your choice.

How do I check my mail through my web browser/WebMail?
You can use your email account through a web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape or AOL) by typing "webmail" BEFORE your domain name. For example: webmail.yourdomain.com

Note - You don't need the "http://www."

log in with your entire email address and password to get in. Most of the same functions found in any email program are also available through WebMail and you can use it from any computer that has an Internet connection and a web browser.
